Our Story

I’m a former kindergarten teacher and the founder of Create & Learn Tutoring. Helping struggling readers has always come naturally to me—it’s where my career began and where my passion still lives.

Early in my career, I discovered that a child’s social and emotional skills are directly linked to confidence and academic growth. When students learn to self-regulate and believe in themselves, their brains open up to learning. By combining social-emotional learning with the Science of Reading and a deep understanding of how each child learns, I was able to produce consistent, measurable results.

Word spread quickly, and my tutoring schedule filled within weeks. What began as one-on-one support expanded into a growing program, leading me to recruit like-minded teachers. That growth led to a life-changing decision—I left the traditional classroom and opened Create & Learn Tutoring, a center built around social-emotional learning at the forefront of every lesson.
